The EyeBag® Company in the UK was started by Dr Teifi James, a consultant ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon working at Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
In 2004 after many years of explaining how to use hot flannel compresses to countless patients, he decided to design and patent his own version of a warm compress - a re-useable product which is conveniently heated in a microwave. He is now Managing Director of The EyeBag® Company which he runs alongside his clinical practice.
The EyeBag® is a wholly UK manufactured product with production, packaging and distribution all carried out in West Yorkshire. Even the flax contents are locally sourced. We run a lean and highly efficient operation which allows us to fulfil our customers’ requirements quickly and yet maintain a close relationship with both our retail and trade customers.
In fact the consumer can call us for advice during normal business hours or send an email to receive a guaranteed personal response.
The Eyebag Company Australia was established in February 2014. The Eyebag has TGA approval (Therapeutics Goods Administration)
